The automated extending of delivery months is not a mandatory feature and is controlled at the Release level.
To use this feature follow the below steps:
- Turn on the “Enable auto extend” toggle on Release Level.
- Make sure end date is set to what’s needed as end date.
- Enter the Number of months to extend
- This number can’t exceed the release end date
- This number can’t be more than the number of current and future months that are on the release
- If "1" is put here, then at the end of the month an extra month will be added to the Release and every Product within the Release
- Optional: adding email for notifications of planned extends
- 4 days and 1 day before an extend happens
🗒️ Note: This feature will NOT RUN when a Release is any of the below statuses:
- IndentSell
- Draft
- Offline
- Expired
Extend example and explanation
The Extend feature will run only for those where it’s previously set up and if the release status is in the scope where we run it. The system runs the Extends on the 28th day of the Month (AEST).
The Extension works as in the examples below (Note let’s assume currently it’s Nov 28th and the extend happens now):
Release status | Delivery months before extend | Months to extend | Delivery months after extend | Comment |
InSeason | NOV | 1 | NOV, DEC | Would run extension of 1 month from first available month, adds DEC in this case |
InSeason | NOV, DEC | 2 | NOV, DEC, JAN | Would run extension of 2 months from first available month, which adds JAN in this case |
InSeason | JAN, FEB | 2 | JAN, FEB | Would not run extension in November (MAR would get extended at end of JAN) |
InSeason | DEC, MAR, APR | 2 | DEC, MAR, APR | Would not run extension in November (in December JAN and FEB would get added) |
InSeason | NOV, MAR, APR | 2 | NOV, DEC, JAN, MAR, APR | Would add DEC and JAN at end of NOV |
