Learn how to capture backorders on products that are currently sold out.
This feature will require you to enter a product lead time at the product level for you to fulfil the order. You have 2 options:
- Display estimated delivery month
- Display a custom text field, such as "backorder" or "pre-order"
Speak with your Brandscope Account Manager to enable this feature and let them know which option you would like to use.
In this video example, we will go with option 2.
- Setup > Releases > select release > export icon in top right hand corner > Export Product DLS
- Open DLS > scroll to the right > fill out " PreOrderLeadTimeDays" column with the product lead time > fill out "PreOrderMessage" column with a relevant message if desired > save.
- Head back to Brandscope > Administration > Product DLS Import > Blue + icon > select file > validate > once validated correctly, upload.
- Setup > Releases > click Edit icon top right hand corner > Integration tab > scroll down to access settings > toggle "allow pre-order" on > save.
- Log in as your test retailer to make sure you're happy with your setup: Brand > select brand > select release.
You will now see a " backorder" box next to the delivery months. If you had selected the "display estimated delivery month" option instead, the box displaying "backorder" would display "Jun23" instead, as that's 90 days from Mar23.
Even though a product is sold out, quantities can be added against it in the pre-order bucket.
