Why is a Release Showing in a Different Currency?
Understand why release pricing may appear in a currency different to your account default.
Why this happens
Releases are normally displayed in the default currency set by the Supplier.
However, pricing may display in a different currency depending on:
- Supplier currency setup
- Retailer currency settings
- Buy Plan Template (BPT) configuration
Buy Plan Template Currency
If a release is accessed through a Buy Plan Template created for a retailer with a different currency, the release may display in that retailer’s assigned currency instead.
Example
- Supplier default currency = USD
- Retailer assigned currency = AUD
If the retailer accesses the release through a Buy Plan Template configured in AUD, the release pricing may display in AUD instead of USD.
Supplier Has Limited Currency Pricing
A supplier may only have pricing configured in a single currency.
Example
- Supplier has USD pricing only
- AUD pricing has not been configured
In this case:
- The release may still display in USD
- Currency conversion pricing may not be available
